This Thursday we are delighted to host The Galloway Hoard Mini Pop-Up Exhibition in the Kirk from 7.30pm. Come along and find out more about The Hoard and the people who may have buried it.There will be an opportunity to talk to Andrew Nicholson, the Regional Archaeologist, who was present when The Hoard was discovered.
Also on display will be the beautiful Galloway Hoard Hanging which has been created by Dumfries & Galloway Embroiderers Guild with over 200 embroiderers around Scotland submitting more than 300 squares with Celtic and Viking motifs and images representing the actual items found using gold thread on black.
The exhibition will stay in Balmaghie Kirk until Tuesday 28th September and will be open each day from 9am to 5pm.
Entrance free. Everyone welcome.
